Club Chair Report Cheryl
Palucchi & Anne-Marie Boucher
June 14 Tami Dorris was
the hostess for this dance with the help of Eric Magrath,
as host. The theme of the dance was January in June.
Everyone had fun blowing bubbles and horns and pretending
that it was New Years and cold outside. We want to thank all of those club members who helped with the setup Wayne and Priscilla Griffin, Debbie Coit, Dave Muller, Penny & Skip Guild, Dave & Mary Raymond, Bill & Viv Thompson, Tammy Dorris and Eric Magrath and to those who stayed and helped take down. We also want to give an extra thank you to Penny Guild for filling in for us on Saturday afternoon since we could not be there for setup. Clubs in attendance included Bradford Squares with 10 members, Concord Coach with 20 members, 19 guests and Border City Squares with 22 members. This was a Mainstream dance with two Plus tips. Our caller was Johnny Wedge with Marilyn Rivenburg cueing. PLEASE NOTE (from Chris Howard): We still need hosts and/or hostesses for several of our dances in the coming year. Most particularly, the October dance still needs a host/hostess and a theme. [If I dont have a theme by August 10th, Ill pick one at random for the Dancer Magazine due to their deadline. (Editor)] Please stop by the treasurers table at any of our functions to see the list of open dances and sign up if you are able and willing to help out. There are always plenty of club members willing to help with setup and cleanup, so please dont be afraid to sign up even if you have never done this before. Anne-Marie and I want to thank everyone who helped this past year, whether it was hosting a dance, helping with setup before or after the dance, bringing food, etc. We both had a great time being your club chairs and hope to see you on a dance floor in the future. [This table contains information on our upcoming dances which Ive received from various Board members. I have not been given information yet on Hosts who have volunteered for the dances or Themes which are blank in the table. (Editor)] 2003-2004 BCS Dances

Banner Chair Report Harlinda Thoene
We had 22 raids/retrievals during the
2002-2003 dance season. We averaged 11 Border City
Dancers at these away dances. The most we had at any one
exchange was 17 and the least was 6. One was cancelled
due to a snow storm. I would like to thank ALL the dancers that supported Border City exchanges. A special thank you to the six Border City members who attended ten or more exchanges: Tammy, Chris, Debbie, Steve W., Kathi and Harli. Remember: summer is here but the dancing never stops! Although there are no raids or retrievals scheduled for Border City Squares members until September, there are several clubs which hold dances right through the summer. A list is included in this newsletter. I hope you will all continue to dance and return with a friend (or two or three or four) on September 8, 2003. Summer Dances Known (and suspected) summer dances with information available as of July 22nd (from Harli). [This information should be verified with the Dancer Magazine, the Host Club, or other sources before traveling long distances to a dance which may have been cancelled. (Editor)]
