Also I hear Santa will be arriving early for us at the Horsepond so all those that want to participate please bring a gift (under $5 value). Boys bring someone for boys and girls something for girls.

Club Chair Report Cheryl Palucchi & Anne-Marie Boucher

November 9 – Our November Dance was hosted by Skip & Penny Guild. The theme was Salute to Veterans and they did a great job decorating in the Patriotic theme. We want to thank all those who helped with the setup – Chris Howard, Wayne & Priscilla Griffin, Cecelia Kendig, Skip & Penny Guild, Anne-Marie Boucher and Harlie Thoene. We also thank everyone who brought food and stayed to help clean up afterwards. This was a plus dance with Dennis March calling and Phil Gatchell cueing.

We had 7 squares in attendance with 12 dancers from Square Wheelers Raiding, 12 dancers from Wolf Rockers Raiding, 11 dancers from Heel & Toe Raiding, 2 dancers from Pine Tree Riots, 1 dancer from Swinging Squares, as well as 18 Border City Dancers.

Our next dance is Saturday, December 14 and will be a Plus Dance. The caller is Ralph Peacock and Bernie Porter will be the cuer. The theme for this dance is Snowflake Special and will be hosted by Cecelia Kendig and Paula Finamore. Setup time will be 12:30 pm Saturday for anyone who would like to help.

NOTE: We ask that all club members attending the dance bring a finger food for the food table. We have had dances recently where we have had to run to a local store to pick up food for the table as we have had little in the way of food. Please help out by bringing something to help feed our visiting dancers.

November 16, 2002: BCS went to Heel and Toe, Manchester, NH to retrieve our banner with Chris, Joe Maheu, Amy, Tammy, Bob Baker, Chip, Carol, Diana Carlson, Skip, Kathi and Harli supporting the club. It was a very snowy night but we had a great time!

November 24, 2002: BCS went to Biddeford, Maine to retrieve our banner from Pepperell Squares. The club went with eight dancers – Chris, Deb, Tammy, Wayne, Priscilla, Steve White, Harli and Alice Renauld. It was a good dance and great company on the ride to and from the dance!

December 14, 2002: BCS Plus level dance with Ralph Peacock calling and Bernie Porter cueing. We are expecting Litchfield Swingers and The Silverados (an A1 club from Haverhill, MA that Amy Bollenbach dances with) to raid us at this dance.

December 21, 2002: We will be raiding Heel and Toe, Manchester, NH. This is a dinner dance ("Snowman Shuffle") with dinner proceeding the dance at 6:30. Dinner is a choice of Ham or Turkey with all the fixings. The cost of dinner and dance is $17.50 per person or $35.00 per couple. The dance only is $5.00 per person. Tickets for dinner must be purchased by December 15, 2002 by calling Rose Rancourt at 603-224-7150 or sending a check to her at Apt. 312, 28 Commercial St., Concord, NH 03301. John Courtois will be calling and Bernie Porter will be cueing this mainstream dance with several Plus level tips.

January 10, 2003: BCS will be retrieving our banner from Litchfield Swingers. This is a class level dance with Johnny Wedging calling and Leo Boudreau cueing. The class is invited to join us on this retrieval!!!!

January 11, 2003: BCS class hosts this class level dance – the pajama party!! It’s always interesting to see what people where to this dance!

Please note that there is a carpool that leaves the Kiosk at the Nashua Mall, Broad St., Nashua at 7PM for each of these raids and retrievals. Please sign up on Monday nights or call me if you are planning to attend any raids or retrievals ESPECIALLY if you are interested in the carpool. The banner on the next page really isn't for your benefit. You already know about it. What we need is for you to make a few copies of the banner and plaster them around at local supermarkets, stores, bulletin boards, where you work, even your kids schools.
